Blizzard Announces WoW Next

Blizzard Entertainment has announced the second expansion of its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), 'World of Warcraft', commonly called WoW.

The expansion named "WoW: Wrath of the Lich King" has some of the most infamous characters and settings from the 'World of Warcraft' universe.

Besides, it opens up a whole new continent named 'Northrend', packed with new zones, quests, dungeons, monsters, and battles with the undead armies of the 'Lich King'.

The expansion promises gamers the ability to take the battle to an altogether new level with new player-vs-player game mechanics and spanking new battlefields to wage wars on.

'Lich King' debuts WoW's first hero class wherein players can create a high-level death knight character -- but only after meeting a string of challenges.

Players can also change the look of the characters, and express themselves with different hairstyles and dance animations.

Meanwhile, there is no word on the release of the expansion.

For those not in the know, 'World of Warcraft' is a subscription-based MMORPG set against the backdrop of Azeroth. Players get to create avatars in Azeroth. The franchise is available in 7 languages. WoW's first official expansion pack, 'The Burning Crusade' was released in January this year.
