Airtel Offers Voice SMS

Airtel has selected Bubble Motion to deploy 'Voice SMS' over fixed line, which means Airtel customers will be able to send 'Voice SMS' messages to any mobile.

And soon they will also be able to send messages to other Airtel fixed line customers.
To use the service, customers need to dial * followed by the mobile number they wish to send the 'Voice SMS' to. The recipient receives an SMS alert on his/her mobile phone, telling him/her about having a new Bubble message. By dialing *0* from their mobiles, recipients can retrieve the 'Voice SMS'.

'Voice SMS' has gained traction because of it's ability to include more emotional content than other forms of messaging such as IM, SMS, and email.
